Purpose of the Department
    

·         HSBC Technology and Service (HTS) is a pivotal part of the Group and seamlessly integrates technology platforms and operations with an aim to re-define customer experience and drive down unit cost of production.

·         To be a custodian of corporate key messages and co-editor of all HTS communication

·         To propagate HTS’ strategy, goals, and objectives with messages that are cascaded to employees in the most effective and efficient manner through innovative campaigns and ensuring relevant content across channels which encourage employee engagement.

·         To maintain a best in class intranet for HTS, ensuring alignment with strategy and alignment with brand and design guidelines maintained across HSBC

 

To engage with key internal stakeholders and be an effective conduit for corporate messages.

 

Job Description

·         Responsible for content creation, development, structuring and auditing, custodian of corporate key messages and co-editor of all HTS communication

·         Create and manage a knowledge repository

·         Support ongoing communication projects with creative copy and business content

·         Set up and manage the auditing of corporate content across the HTS organisation

·         Content owner of the HTS Intranet and responsible to ensure consistency in message across all sub-sites

·         Responsible for day-to-day maintaintence of the HTS intranet

·         News manager for the HTS Intranet and responsible to run the news desk and ensure timely, relevant and interesting mix of content is presented on the intranet

·         Content owner of all internal publications managed by central HTS Communications

·         Showcase HSBC Technology and Services as the Best Place to Work and the Best Place to Bank with internal and external stakeholders.

·         Creatively conceptualise internal campaigns and events, and responsible to create the communication pack for all initiatives

·         Independently ideate right from conceptualisation to the delivery across mediums (Print, web, video, flash)

·         Work with the creative/design team to develop collaterals for all HTS central campaigns and initiatives
    

Skills Required:
 

·         Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Communications role, preferably with a global brand of over 50,000 employees

·         Degree in Communication Arts, Marketing, Journalism, and the like

·         Post-graduate degree in Management, Communications

·         Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

·         Customised writing for the medium and target audience is key, with an eye for detail

·         Ability to conceptualize, visualize and write for creatives across mediums (Print, web, video, flash)

·         Should be able to understand the corporate objectives and effectively deliver against them

·         Communication skills to address an international audience.

·         Lateral thinking

·         Excellent written communication skills and Superior hands-on working knowledge of Internet-based tools, MS Office

·         Should have independently worked on multi-media content assignments

·         Should have had worked with a team of designers, to effectively deliver the final finished product

·         Basic knowledge of design software such as Adobe Pagemaker and Adobe Photoshop would be an added advantage

·         Excellent judgment and good decision-making ability in complex ambiguous situations

·         Strong leadership and management skills

·         Ability to work in a highly complex matrix environment with exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills

Ability to apply to the task at hand and work under tight deadlines
    

Academic Qualifications
