Job Title : Group Brand Manager- CH

Responsible to : Marketing Manager

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for strategizing, planning, directing and coordinating the specified portfolio of brands/ health
theme’s marketing activities to ensure that the objectives of product performance, sales, growth and
profitability of the portfolio are met.

Principle Responsibilities
1. Will be responsible for the assigned Health theme and the brands falling under that health theme.
2. Responsible for strategizing and implementation of marketing plans and programs, both short and
long range, to ensure achievement of sales, profit as well as market shares, and expansion of the
Health theme’s products within designated budgets
3. Ensures timely launch of new brands in the assigned portfolio & follows-up with all related
departments to ensure implementation and targeted results.
4. Analyses the market intelligence information to identify and capitalise on opportunities and minimize
effect of competitors’ activities
5. Evaluates and tracks market reactions to advertising programmes, merchandising campaigns and
product packaging to ensure timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing
market and competitive conditions
6. Internal & External Coordination:
- Sales

Interacts to communicate the brand strategy/plans and provide and seek
market intelligence. Follows up to get feedback on implementation of
strategies and tactics

- Logistics/ Supply chain
 Communicates forecasts in coordination with sales team and follows-up to ensure stocks, inputs and sample delivery in time to field force

- Business development
 Follows up with Business development team for New Product Ideas as well as timely launch of selected new product pipeline

-Finance

Follows-up for all finance related queries for the assigned brands (e.g. sales promotion expenses, profitability, as well as EBIT)


Internal
- Market Research

Exchange syndicated MR data, analyse brand/portfolio performance, market trends, Secondary sales data (internal as well as external)
 Develop briefs for custom research along with Market research personnel,
interact with Market research team to design and conduct primary research

- Medical Services/Legal
 Coordinates for seeking timely approval on brand related promotional
material as per company best practices
- Suppliers

Interacts to place orders for promotional material required in coordination with Purchase dept

External
- Advertising / Media agencies
 Coordinates for development of communication strategy, media plans,
Brand promotion themes, events etc.

Specifications:
I] Educational Qualification:
Graduate in Science or Pharmacy with a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing)

II] Experience:
Total experience of around 6years, with at least 1 to 1.5 years (as Group Brand Manager) or 2 years as Senior
Brand manager in brand management of a pharmaceutical (OTC company preferred)

III] Preferences:
· Experience of both Rx as well as OTC brand management with experience in handling ATL as well as
BTL strategies
· Experience in New Product launches, understanding of market research will be an add-on.
· Preference for candidates who have handled cold and cough segment/ everyday health products
