Qualification: MBA in Sales / Marketing will be preferred
Experience: Minimum 3 years in Marketing Research. Prior experience in interfacing sales teams in US & Europe would be an advantage. Good communication skills are important.
Role description (Research Analyst)
* Primary task of supporting the North America sales team with analytics to accelerate deal flow and increase our win and close rates * Secondary research to provide insights on industry/business trends, industry drivers and processes, key players and competitive environment, customer profiles for internal and external use * Provide competitive intelligence to help the sales team to identify prospects, increase account penetration * Engage with NA Sales team on regular basis and communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully * Communicate effectively with Onsite Sales team to qualify needs; evaluate & suggest alternative approach wherever required * Understand and define business needs with stakeholders in India & NA on need basis * Support pre-sales team with the required analytics * Commitment to delivery is important as Sales team banks on us. Candidate should be willing to take ownership of tasks and work with stretched timelines whenever required * Expected to create & publish periodic reports/analytics/ benchmarking
Skills Required
* Proficient with different research tools and sources of information * Should have hands on experience in gathering market/ business information creatively, using market research sites and should be well familiar to accommodate more requests in less time * Prior experience of at industry vertical/ sector or service line (ERP/ CRM/ Business Intelligence) would be a plus * Experience in similar role in an IT company * Excellent documentation and presentation skills * Good level of written and oral communication is a must * Understand the complexities and opportunities inherent in the global business environment. This can come from experience in supporting Sales teams in US or Europe or experience in business development * Understand the economic forces driving businesses to be global * Should be able to conduct research, collect/collate and present point of views/ account, industry & competitor analysis to assist sales * The Analyst is expected to have a keen eye for detail * Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor tasks to achieve results * Experience in Account planning/ Sales Support/ Marketing communication would be a plus
