Description
In this Product Manager role, you will have the opportunity to create products and services to enable buyer-seller interaction for Emerging Markets.
These are services which will reach millions of users and help them experience the Internet on their mobile phones. As a product manager in the New Business group, you will be responsible for defining and creating the products & services that bring new opportunities for commerce and service engagement across emerging markets.
Responsibilities
· Create a highly innovative, differentiated product to enable safe commerce and service discovery in emerging markets.
· Lead overall Product and Program Management efforts for this initiative.
· Work with R&D teams to build and manage the service through its lifecycle.
· Work with User Design team, to design an innovative yet simple user experience.
· Drive product adoption by working closely with local country teams.
· Lead and influence cross functional teams to formulate product concept and roadmap by working with stakeholders in Devices, Services, Business Development and User Design.
Qualification
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications.
· 5-7 years of product management experience at an Internet company.
· Hands-on experience in concepting, developing and launching mobile Internet services.
· Detail oriented individual who cannot stand ill-designed, cluttered product features and user experiences.
· Effective team player who can work in virtual teams as well as with senior management.
· Passion for new Internet and mobile technologies.
· A quick learner, self starter with a penchant for execution.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Strong technical abilities.
· Bachelors in Computer Science or related technical field. MBA is preferred.
