Location: Position Title: Head  (GM/VP) - Solar for a Leading Indepenedent Power Producer (IPP) in Renewable Energy space (15-20 Yrs)


The Company

      Our Client organization was incorporated in April, 2008

It is Promoted by one of the leading Private Equity Fund (presently manages assets around USD 1.3 billion spread across three funds) focused on Renewable energy .

They plan to operate as an IPP in Renewable Energy domain and are mandated to invest , acquire, develop & operate portfolio of Renewable and Clean Energy assets across verticals like Wind ,Small Hydro , Bio-Mass, Solar and Gas

Our client  has access to committed funds of INR 4000 million (Phase-I) by way of equity to become one of India’s leading Renewable Energy (RE) companies

At present our client have operating assets of 125MW Wind power projects in Tamilnadu,  Karnataka and Maharashtra.
The Present asset base is worth Rs 750crs , built in first year of operation

        Our Client  Target to build a total operational capacity of   600MW   by 2011-12 of operating assets across verticals and a   

       Total Capacity of 1000 MW by 2014.

The Position

Head (GM/VP) – Solar Power

Location: New Delhi, India

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

Experience – 15to20years in project management and EPC preferably in power sector and with last 3-5years in Solar PV/thermal markets.

 

·        

    * Good technical knowledge of the solar technologies
    * Command on EPC contracting in India
    * · Demonstrated ability to execute and oversee large Projects
    * · Ability to lead and handle team of people in remote areas.
    * · Negotiating and formalizing contracts with EPC contractors.
       

This role will focus on –

·         Leading a team which will be responsible for planning and implementation of Small and Medium Solar projects   in the country.

 

·         The incumbent should ideally be a  techno commercial person with strong proven background in Solar Project Management and in Implementing Small and Medium Solar projects.

 

·         He would be responsible for all aspects of Solar project implementation through a team of professionals.

·         The KRA’s will include getting government clearances, land acquisition, R& R etc.

·         The incumbent would be given freedom to set-up his own team from scratch.
