Position Objective
§ Accountable for leading implementation of clean technology projects focusing on utilization of renewable sources of energy.
Key responsibilities
§ Key member of the core management team comprising CEO, VP Operations, VP Technical, VP Finance and VP Human Resources.
§ Develop an in-depth understanding of the Clean technology business, current challenges and opportunities within it
§ Strengthen our competitive positioning in successfully implementing projects in this area.
§ Recommend focus areas in project implementation in Clean Technology :
v where government incentives can be leveraged
v which align with the company’s strategic imperatives
§ Develop power projects in the field of solar energy ( using PV and CSP technology) , niche wind projects and geothermal energy (future)
§ Develop a set of parameters/milestones/technical specifications based on which all projects would be evaluated for selection, and during implementation
§ Evaluate projects from a techno commercial perspective against cost and quality benchmarks
§ Assist in formalizing the PPA and ensure adherence from a technical perspective
§ Be well conversant with government policies, regulatory frameworks, geographical dispersions within India in the clean technology space
§ Introduce “Best Demonstrated Practices” in project management within the organization.
§ Establish and maintain strategic alliances with vendors, suppliers, technical partners and government agencies
Qualification
And
Desirable prerequisites
§ Engineering degree ( civil engineering desirable but not essential)
§ Successful project management implementation experience at a national level
§ Team player, collaborative style, effective leader communicator and presenter
§ Conversant with learning new technologies and adapting the same to emerging challenges
§ Skilled in techno commercial evaluation of projects from a selection and implementation perspective
