Location: VP Operations
Position objective
Set up the Clean Energy division for the organization focusing on energy efficiency and Solar energy based on a successful and commercially viable business model
Key responsibilities
¨ Identify potential sub sectors in the energy efficiency /Solar energy space which can be commercially developed in India
¨ Identify and lead the process to acquire an Indian Mid sized company/set up a JV which would enable us to offer energy efficiency/Solar energy services in India
¨ Work with key management personnel to seamlessly integrate the acquired company/JV within Greenery Renewals
¨ Recommend an organization structure for the division including key functions and roles.
¨ Work with key management to finalize roles within the acquired company/JV, Based on a ‘Best Fit’ analysis
¨ Develop the business plan and lead overall P&L for the division
¨ Develop key internal processes needed to offer the product/service to clients
¨ Develop the strategy needed to identify and acquire clients
¨ Identify ways to leverage an early mover advantage in the energy efficiency/Solar energy space
¨ Develop a set of performance metrics to measure the success of the business
Qualification
¨ Post graduate degree in business management
¨ Engineering degree ( preferable but not essential)
Skill sets
¨ Strong commercial acumen
¨ Development and adherence to budgets, experience in effective cost management
¨ Inspirational leader, able to optimize potential of the teams he works with
¨ Ease of working with different nationalities and across geographies
Previous work experience
¨ Should have successfully developed a new business in a sunrise industry
¨ A minimum of 5 years middle or senior management experience in the Clean Energy business focusing on power generation, solar energy and energy efficiency
¨ Profit centre responsibility
¨ Experience in setting up a JV/Acquiring a company
¨ Should have developed or led development of strong MIS systems to monitor performance
¨ Professional interactions with organizations outside India
Age not more than 50 years.
Preference will be given to :
Person having experience on Solar and Wind energy projects.
Other Specifications:
* Ability to work thro acquisition and integration challenges when we partner with another organization
* Ability to develop and implement a business plan
* Identify markets and customers for our products
* Manage costs, quicken return on investments
* Represent our organization at different forums
* Create a positive recall for our product at relevant forums
