Now, we have this opening for a Regional Supplier(Vendor) Manager with the above mentioned client in Bangalore.
Regional Supplier(Vendor) Manager - APAC
The client's Global User Services(GUS) Team is looking for a Regional Supplier Manager (RSM). You will act as GUS`s representative in IT Area APAC. Your responsibility is to ensure service delivery from our service providers, as well as facilitating cooperation between these ESP`s and other IT functions. You will be the interface for Area specific management of IT service providers, responsible for proactive gathering and identifying business needs, ensuring transparency and visibility of external IT collaborations, achievements, plans and strategy.
Main responsibility areas:
The Regional Supplier Management team exists within GUS as the geographical time zone interface between IT and our External Service Providers. The objective of the team is to govern the vendors at a regional level ensuring delivery of services according to contractual service agreements. You will work in close co-operation with other Regional Supplier Manager to look together after the APAC region.
Key task areas (in order of importance)
Represent all IT function towards Service Providers and vice versa
Management and escalation of issues relating to Service providers
Reviewing area level quality metrics and performance with external service provider
Address local business needs and ensure agreed service levels from the Service Providers
Undertake commercial and operational negotiations for country specific requirements
Initiate and implement vendor related Service improvement concepts and plans
Validation of external service provider adherence to security policies and procedures
Ensuring transparency and visibility of external service providers, achievements, plans and strategy
Provide transparency of business case and collaborator agreements to IT management and business stakeholders
Requirements:
University degree: MSc. In a suitable area. Good knowledge of the company and IT processes. Has at least 8+ years of working experience in the IT field with a minimum of 5 years at a vendor management position. Proven financial understanding. Ability to work in a global virtual organization. Should have fluent written and oral English language skills.
The Regional Supplier Manager has ideally a strong background in User Care and relation management (both with business and IT partners). In addition, we appreciate a good knowledge of the company's IT and businesses, as well as excellent organizing and planning skills, strong networking and co-operation skills with team members and stakeholders, high perseverance and willingness to carry through tasks, able to withstand stress, and good presentation skills. Change management, project, service and process management experience is also very valuable.
