Job Code: 12692 Location: Title: Logistics Manager ( level 5) Role and context Purpose: • Manage Logistics strategy for BII and key initiatives to deliver cost, cash and service targets for F11 moving forward • Manage end to end Logistics cost having 10% reduction year on year • Manage customer service to first paying customers: on time, complete, quality and no documentation error. • Manager customer collaboration initiatives with top priority customers (defined by Global) and build account management capability • Build functional Logistics capability in India.
Context: DIPL blends and bottles Smirnoff, VAT 69, Black & White, and Captain Morgan etc at various third party sites. DIPL has set very ambitious performance targets for short and long term. To achieve these performance targets, production sites needs to become World Class in key areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Service with high employee morale.

Key functional responsible for 3PL across Diageo (BII bonded warehouse and BIO operations)
Relations Internal: Manufacturing (3rd party & JV sites) /Commercial / Procurement/Sales/Marketing/IS, APAC supply chain, Amsterdam Supply chain
External: Logistics providers/Regulatory bodies
Key Accountabilities BII business ( Bottled in India) • Bonded operations: customer clearance, trucking, warehouse, distribution and customer service. • Customer Service: ensuring compliance to service level requirements ( i.e. External OTIFNIE at set targets) and ensuring that we have a common “ face” to Diageo customers. Help develop the SAP capability to manage order-to-cash • Customer Collaboration: building capability supporting commercial on account management and providing supply customized solutions to preferred and to strategic customers delivering cost, cash and service benefits to both parties • Supplier performance: working with Amsterdam, local India TPO in achieving the required service level in terms of replenishing and servicing the bonds, whilst streamlining the end-to-end operations. • Compliance, Governance and Safety. 3PL have assessed themselves against LTO standards meeting minimum expectations. • Ensure all 3PL operate consistent with the Diageo code of business conduct and their ways of working ensure zero harm, and zero non compliance • Ensure that 3PL contracts and SLA are updated. • Ensure a robust 3PL performance management, using agreed regional KPI to drive waste across our logistics operations. • Deliver year on year savings on logistics to help achieve Flat cogs target. • Drive the resolution of SLOB in all facilities with commercial, providing a ways of working to ensure that the stock profile in the bonded warehouses are at optimum • People management: plan to uplift the functional capability of logistics in India, value survey super engaged at 70% • Ensure optimum route to market. Qualifications BTech (IIT/REC) MBA- Industrial Management, Business or Finance Preferred APICS citification.
Functional Capabilities • Demonstrates knowledge of our customers. • Understands different customer types • Is aware of the tools / resources in the organization for gathering customer data • Analytical ability to understand balance between customer service, inventory levels and supply capability • Hands on experience in Network Optimization software • Awareness of Supply Chain, Sales, Brand Marketing and other key processes • Manages delivery of partnership agreement • Appreciation of IT, it’s application and benefits • Manages change in a structured way, taking into account all facets of the supply chain Other skills required - Mix of hands-on experience and strategic thinking -The capability to communicate credibly to and influence a variety of audiences across the Operations environment, senior managers and external stakeholders, - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and plan for future contingencies, - Be capable of making sound decisions in a fast moving environment. - Customer/Consumer orientation is must. - Leads by example, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to be an inspiring leader. - Excellent Computer Proficiency - Strong Analytical capability Experience 5-8 years of Logistics operations in India (preferably with the liquor/tobacco companies)
