Location: I am looking for AVP-Projects for one of the fastest growing private sector organizations in India with Infrastructure Development as its core business. With assets about 3.44 billion USD currently under management and over 8.83 billion USD under implementation, the core areas of the group cover Agri-Businesses, Airports, Highways, Energy, SEZ and Property Development. The position would be based in Chennai, India.
Job Responsibilities:
* Develop strategy to undertake the construction of project in line with the business plans as well as monitor and manage the road contractors undertaking the projects
* Develop an organizational manpower structure for the implementation of the strategy including identifying key contractors and suppliers.
* Develop and implement an effective reporting system to monitor the progress of the projects and take the necessary corrective action
* Collaborate with stakeholders, viz., Government authorities, vendors, consultants and sub consultants for successful implementation of the project
* To oversee and provide the leadership to the pre-construction and actual construction process to assure that all works are completed on time, on time and within predetermined standards of quality
* Effectively manage all construction contracts and contractors to ensure completion on schedule, within budget, to specified quality and safety standards and ensuring financial and legal compliances.
* Provide direction, create performance objectives, develop plans and conduct performance reviews for direct reviews
* Create and Monitor control systems for cost estimates, budgets, schedule, contractor draws, change orders, quality control, value engineering, progress reports and variance analysis
* Interact with local authorities, interest group, vested interests, statutory authorities (sales tax, labor dept., mining & geology etc.,) and ensure company’s interest are taken care off
* Ensure safety & environmental standards are kept up
Experience: 18+ Years of experience in Project Management.
Should be experienced in working on NHAI Projects
