Location: My client are seeking to urgently fill a Manufacturing Manager role based in Mumbai. This opportunity is with one of the most respected premium FMCG products company globally. With a strong presence across 150+ countries, the company is listed on some of the most respected stock exchanges.
They are a champion in each of the regions they operate in India and at this moment aim to nearly double the current sales in an year’s time as well as to become a showcase market for the regional and global leadership.
The purpose of this role is:
* To drive the manufacturing agenda in India in terms of supporting the growth, driving compliance, ensuring quality and safety, reducing cost, improvement of service and uplifting the over-all capability as a function
* Custodian of brand equity
* Deliver Supply Mission in F10-F13 that revolves around waste and cost reduction.
* Defining the manufacturing footprint and strategy for the company in India
Key accountabilities of the role:
* Ensuring that inventory position is best in class.
* Having the most competitive COGS (Cost of goods sold), delivering flat COGS to our demand partners;
* Customers will perceive the company as a great partner to do business with – driving service level to best in class
* Zero waste mindset drives a step change in the manufacturing excellence
* Support procurement initiatives in driving cost competitiveness and compliance through strategic sourcing and localization
* Putting place process, systems and capability in manufacturing to deliver end-to-end supply chain visibility and optimization through active decision-making.
* Driving performance management and decision processes governed by effective KPI and shareholder value management
* Super engaged employees
* Supporting anti-counterfeit initiatives and quality agenda
* Accelerating the environmental initiatives related to conversion (e.g. zero waste landfill).
* Developing a strong talent of manufacturing practitioners and a strong succession pool
* Ensuring compliance across the operations and ensuring all is consistent with Company Code of business conduct.
Functional capabilities:
· Good knowledge of manufacturing including TPM, WCM etc
· Quality Management Systems, ISO, HACCP, Six Sigma
· Project /Engineering knowledge
· Distillation & Blending
· Analytical Skills
· A Certified Lead Auditor / Assessor
· Fair knowledge of Alcohol mfg
Other skills:
· Fluency in English
· Computer Proficiency
· Capability of sensory evaluation
· Exposure in Personnel management
· Analytical & presentation skills
· Exposure to ERP & HACCP
This role is the Head of Manufacturing in India and my client are seeking fast trackers with 8-10 yrs of work experience and demonstrable achievements. You must come from a food or beverages manufacturing set-up having already been a Head of Manufacturing / Factory Manager / Group Quality Head. You must be a BE from IIT/NIT + MBA from a tier 1 institute.
Compensation is industry best.
